OBITUARY DELL CAMPBELL It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Dell Campbell (McCaffrey) on August 12, 2007 at the Centre d'Hebergement, Ormstown. She joins our dad, Wallace Graham Campbell who predeceased her in 1985 and who was the love of her life. She was also predeceased by four of her siblings, Vincent, Francis, Brian and Margaret. She leaves to mourn her three daughters, Heather Shore (the late Philip), Susan Evan (Tony) and Mary Kirby (Stephen), her one surviving brother, Deb McCaffrey, 9 grandchildren, 1 step-grand-daughter, 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. A special thank-you to her niece, Elaine Steen, who has been such wonderful support. Born in Ottawa, she and our dad came to reside in Montreal to begin their married life. Dell enjoyed raising her family, always encouraging us and delighting in our accomplishments. Some of her own special endeavours were her volunteer work as a Brown Owl both for her children and grandchildren, her work in the Catholic Women's League at Resurrection of Our Lord Parish in Lachine and providing a home for grandchildren and their friends while pursuing university studies away from home. This led to a very special period in her life when she received students from Japan who came to Montreal to study English. In recent years, as her health began to fail, Dell came to live in Ormstown and became a country girl. We thank Dr. Blonde and the entire staff and volunteers at the Centre d'Hebergement for the extraordinary care that they provided her and all the residents therein. They are, truly, angels of mercy. The family will receive condolences at McGerrigle Funeral Home in Ormstown (70 Lambton Street) on Thursday August 16 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A mass to celebrate her life will be offered on Friday, August 17 at 10 a.m. at Saint-Malachie Church in Ormstown (10 Bridge Street). Burial will take place later that afternoon in Pakenham, Ontario, where she will be laid to rest with Wally. If you wish to honour her life with a donation, her family would appreciate that it be made to the Fondation de Centre d'Hebergement d'Ormstown, 65 Hector Street, Ormstown, Quebec, J0S 1K0.
