DURANTE, Giuseppe. 1932-2007. In Montreal on August 24, 2007 at the age of seventy-five. Passed away peacefully after a brief & courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of 47 years to Elisabetta Carlo. Loving father of Domenic (Cathy), Michael (Lisa) and Mario (Enza). Proud & cherished Nonno Pepe of Luca, Chelsea, Alessia, Nicholas, Marco, Kayla & Andrew. Brother to Gina, Michele (An), Anna (Giovanni), Vincenzo (Maria), Rocco (Vanda) and Vittorio (Giuseppina). Also survived by many dear nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Gifted businessman, chef, storyteller and incredible husband known for his humility, generosity & self serving commitment to his family. Will be missed by many for a very long time. Resting at Magnus Poirier Funeral home, 10300 Pie IX, Montreal, QC. Visitation on Sunday, August 26th from 7 to 10 p.m., and Monday August 27th from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Madonna di Pompei church, 2875 Sauve, Montreal on Tuesday, August 28 at 10 a.m. Published in the Montreal Gazette from 8/25/2007 - 8/26/2007
