VERMESI, Jozef. Eighty-five, passed away peacefully in the company of his loving wife Maria, on Thursday, August 23, 2007. Born on January 16, 1922 in Torbagy, Hungary, Joe brought his young family to Canada in the winter of 1952. He is survived by his loving wife Maria Veremesi (nee Kretchmar), daughter Margaret Veremesi, and granddaughter April-Lynne. Joe was a "jack of all trades", and touched the lives of many with his generous nature. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. Friends are invited to share their memories of Joe with his family at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa Street South (at Westmount Rd), Kitchener, on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 from 2 until 3 p.m. A celebration of Joe's life will be held in the funeral home chapel at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the diabetes association would be appreciated by the family and can be arranged by contacting the funeral home at 519-743-8900.
