ELLIS, Zilpha May (nee Thomlinson) Passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at Fairview Manor in Almonte, Ontario at the age of 95. The daughter of the late Eugene and the late Kate Thomlinson. May was born in Grenfell, Saskatchewan on August 23, 1912. Predeceased by her brothers Jock, Gib and Bob; her sisters Kate and Emily, her husbands Rev. John Edwin Allsopp and Rev. Joseph Walter Ellis and her son Edwin Eugene Allsopp. She was the loving mother of Ruth Ann McBride of Almonte, step-mother of Michael Ellis (Erika), Chris Ellis and Sarah Ellis, grandmother of Hugh McBride (Marisa Scaramella), Kirby McBride (Linda Hanusaik), Heidi McBride (Robert Turner), Michael Allsopp (Katriona), Bryan Allsopp (Katrina), and Jessie Cashen, step-grandmother of Geoffrey and Dana Ellis, and great-grandmother of Joshua, Spencer, Skylar, Summer, Emma, Ellie, Charlotte and Delaney. Friends may call at the Almonte Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 154 Elgin Street, Almonte on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 from 7 to 9 p.m. Inurnment at Auld Kirk Cemetery, Almonte on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at 11 a.m., immediately followed by a memorial service at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Almonte at 12 noon.
