WOODS, Edward A. February 21, 1931 - August 26, 2007 Retired RCMP & Retired Director, Executive Development, Canada Post At the Queensway Carleton Hospital, Sunday, August 26, 2007 at the age of 76 after a lengthy and courageous battle with heart disease. Beloved husband and very best friend for 47 years of Clarisse (nee Lorrain). Loving father of Daniel (Louise Legare) of Whitby, Ontario and David (Angela Vuk) of Fergus, Ontario. Cherished grandfather of Tyler and Matthew and beloved pappa of Benjamin and Sara. He is survived by his brother Robert of Windsor, Ontario, sisters-in-law Marlene Woods of Edmonton, Alberta; Marilyn Woods of Windsor, Ontario; Carmen Lorrain of Montreal, Quebec; Solange (Raoul) Chevrier, Therese and Louise Lorrain of Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan; brothers-in-law Arthur (Eveline) and George (Madeleine) Lorrain also of Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Dr. R.A. Davies, Cardiologist of the Ottawa Heart Institute; Christine Proulx and her staff of the Home Monitoring System; Dr. P. Mouaikel and all the doctors and nurses at both the Ottawa Heart Institute and the Queensway Carleton Hospital who cared for Edward during his long illness. Friends and family may pay their respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 580 Eagleson Road, Kanata from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, August 30th. Funeral Friday to Holy Redeemer Church (44 Rothesay Drive, Kanata) for Mass of Christian Funeral at 11 a.m. followed by a reception in the church hall.
