ROMANENKO, Nancy Elizabeth (Robins) Gone to be with her Lord; yet it is with great sadness the family announce the passing of Nancy Romanenko, nee Robins, gone from us much too soon on Wednesday August 29, 2007. Beloved wife of Phil and loving mother of Kristina of Brantford. Pre-deceased by her father Robert Lewis Robins. Nancy is survived by her mother Joan Robins of Niagara Falls and immediate family; sister Susan and her husband David Smith and their children Becky and Andrew (Laurie) of Welland, sister Mary Lou Robins of Stoney Creek, brother Wayne Robins and his wife Kathy and their children Lisa (Mike) of Chippawa and Dave (Tessa) of St. Catharines, and brother Rick Robins and his wife Brenda and their son Tim of Prescott. Great aunt of Nicholas and Noah. Born on May 12, 1956 and raised in Niagara Falls, Nancy graduated as an Ontario Scholar from Westlane Secondary School. Nancy excelled academically, at sports and music and graduated from Brock University, St. Catharines in 1980 with a degree in Physical Education and received her Masters of Education from Brock in 1993. Nancy's strong passion to serve others; children and families, and her love of sport and charity, led her to a career in education and into the YMCA and YWCA family. Having an impact on all she came in contact with; Nancy spent time in Niagara Falls, Orillia, St. Catharines, Hamilton, Brockville and Brantford. Nancy will be truly missed and always remembered by family, friends, neighbours and colleagues. Friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Saturday, 7-9 and Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held at Central Baptist Church, 300 Fairview Drive, Brantford on Monday September 3, 2007 at 2 p.m. Interment Farringdon Burial Ground.
