COURTNAGE, Don - Peacefully, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, on Monday, August 27th, 2007, Don Courtnage of Tillsonburg, at the age of 83 years. Born in Burford Township, Brant County, son of the late Clarence Courtnage and the late former Edith Leggett. Don honourably served his country during WWII, serving with distinction with the Royal Canadian Air Force. As a dedicated, self-employed businessman (in Sales), during his working career, Don was a dedicated husband and father. Much loved husband of Ethel (Barnett) Courtnage. Much loved father of David Courtnage of Waterloo; Catherine and her husband Ronald Faryna of Edmonton, Alberta; and Clifford Courtnage of Hamilton. Don is survived by two sisters: Ruth Gilpin of Brantford and Mabel Liddicun of California, U.S.A. He is predeceased by a brother Alvin. In keeping with Don's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends, relatives and neighbours (on James Avenue, Tillsonburg) are welcome to meet with the Courtnage Family on Thursday, August 30th from 2 to 4 p.m. at the VERHOEVE FUNERAL HOME, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg (519-842-4238) to celebrate Don's life and legacy with a memorial gathering.
