VENUGOPAL, ACHATHE THEKKUTE 1941-2007 Passed away suddenly, in a motor vehicle accident, on August 25, 2007, at the age of 65 years. Venu is survived by his wife of 35 years Janaky; his son, Anil, his daughter Anita and her husband Jay. He will be sadly missed by his granddaughter Kahli, who is forever asking for her papa. Venu spent many of his early years in Canada involved with the Steel industry, working in Dunnville, Hamilton, and the Burlington area. He successfully worked his way into management before making a career change. Venu has worked for Allstate Insurance for the past 17 years. Each year at Allstate, Venu succeeded at being one of the top producing agents in all of Canada. He took great pride in his business, and took great care of his customers. Even at his 65th birthday he was not ready to retire and continued working till his last day. Venu is best known for his energetic, passionate way of life. He will be remembered for his great taste in clothing, his desire for the best of everything, and his love of Crown Royal. Venu was always working on improving his golf game, and will continue to do so in his next life. Friends were invited to share their memories of Venu with his family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo on Monday, August 27, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, August 28, 2007 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Venu's life was held at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, August 29th, 2007 at 11 a.m. The service continued at Parkview Crematorium, 335 University Avenue East, Waterloo, followed by a reception.
