VAN ALLEN, Harold (Rip) - It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Harold (Rip) Van Allen announces his passing on Saturday, June 30th. Rip is lovingly remembered by his daughters Cathy (Darryl), Aubrey, Deborah (John) Missere, Susan (Pat) Heenan, his son Andy (Angie) Van Allen, 14 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren, with another to be arriving soon. Rip will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters, a big extended family and the many, many friends he has made through the years. His children are especially appreciative of all the love and care he provided at home for their mother and his beloved wife, Arleigh, who died in 2000. Friends and family may call at TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOME, 63 Garden Street, Gananaque for visitation on Wednesday, July 4th from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. The funeral will be held in the chapel on Thursday, July 5th at 1:00 pm. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
