HAIRE, Malcolm Alfred - (R.C.A.F., Retired Public Service, Life Member of R.C.L. Branch #542, Westport) - Peacefully at the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital (Perth Site) on Tuesday July 10, 2007. Malcolm Haire of RR #2, Westport, in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Joann Balser of 51 years. Dear father of Karen Hodgson (and the late Larry Lemcke) of Westport, Craig of Westport, Glenn (Janet) of Yarker. Fondly remembered by grandchildren, Jennifer, Ryan and Megan. Dear brother of Merv (Janet) Haire of California. Also survived by sister-in-law, Beverly Hiser of B.C.; nieces, Barbara (Robert) Lavoie, Susan Shaw, Marilyn Haire; nephew Steven Haire and great-niece Alana Lavoie (Guy Gravelle). Predeceased by sister, Lois Shaw. The family will receive friends at the SCOTLAND FUNERAL HOME, 27 Main Street, Elgin on Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m. A Legion Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Private Family Inurnment Service at Westport United Church Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Service to be held at Legion Branch #542, Westport following the Memorial Service. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to Epilepsy (Kingston), R.C.L.
