HILL, Howard Rodney - Entered into rest peacefully, his family by his side, at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital on Friday, July 20, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. Howard is survived by his wife and best friend Mary, his children Wayne (Catherine) and Angela, and his cherished grandchildren Megan, Thomas and Grace. He is also survived by his sisters Patricia Chatten and Margaret Robinson of St. Thomas as well as many nieces and nephews. Former commanding officer of the Governor General's Foot Guards of Ottawa, sportsman, and member of the Garrison Golf and Country Club's 'Fab Eight', he is much loved and will be sorely missed. Resting at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Boulevard) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Tuesday, July 24, 2007 for Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (490 Days Road) at 10:30 a.m., The Reverend Father John J. Brennan officiating. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (Palliative Care at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital) would be appreciated by the family (Donations by cheque only please). 10751989
