NEWMAN, John “Lee“ - Age 95, of Lambton Meadowview Villa Petrolia, formerly of Brigden passed away on Sunday, August 26th, 2007 at Lambton Meadowview Villa Petrolia. Beloved brother of Ona Campbell, Dean (Eileen) Newman all of Brigden; Jean (Ross) Smith, Minnesota U.S.A. Brother-in-law of Catherine Newman and Doris Newman. Predeceased by his parents William and Sadie (Nicol) Newman, brothers Lyle, George, Robert and Melvin, brother-in-law Donald Campbell, sister-in- law Margaret (Scott) Newman. Special uncle to several nieces and nephews. Lee was a WWII Veteran, retired from Imperial Oil in 1977 after 35 years of service and was a life member of Leopold Masonic Lodge #397 Brigden for 60 years. Lee will be greatly missed by the Brigden Community. Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME BRIGDEN on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 from 5 - 9 p.m. A Masonic Lodge Service will be conducted on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 29th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mark Perry officiating. Interment Bear Creek Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia, or charity of choice.
