HELPS, Mary Elizabeth (Haywood) - At Marshall Gowland Manor on Saturday, June 23, 2007, MARY ELIZABETH (HAYWOOD) HELPS, age 83, of Sarnia, beloved wife of 60 years of the late Clarence John “Jim“ Helps and dear mother of Gary and his wife Gisele, Jerry and his wife Marilyn and Doreen Archer and her husband Brian all of Sarnia and Earl Helps and Doreen Savage of Point Edward. Loving grandma of Lynn, Lucy, Sandra, Michelle, Joanne, Kim, Jamie, Kyle and Shelly. Dear sister of Ollie, Hazel, Louise “Peg“ and Helen all of Sarnia. Also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A lifelong Sarnia/Point Edward resident, Mrs. Helps was pre-deceased by two sisters Pauline and Dorothy and five brothers John, Bill, Bob, Ken and Tom Haywood. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, June 27th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rebecca Roushorne of Point Edward Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 7 - 9 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation (cheques only please).
