TOTE, Antonio - After a long and courageous battle with cancer Antonio Tote, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 23, 2007 at Bluewater Health Palliative Care at the age of 63. Antonio was a member of Local 1089, the Dante Club and was a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus. He was an avid bowler, loved to play horseshoes, bocce player, playing cards with his grandchildren and spending time at his trailer. Beloved husband of Carolyn (Donahue) Tote. Loving father of John and Michele Tote and Greg Tote. Cherished grandfather of Jacob and Emily Tote, and Elizabeth and Andrew Kelly. Born November 10, 1943 in Fontechiari in the province of Frosinone, Italy. He was the son of Gaetano and Loreta and brother of Mario and his wife Donata. Antonio is survived by many nieces and nephews in Italy, and aunts and uncles in Italy and France Dear brother-in-law to John and Sharon Donahue, Joanne and Lee Kipp, Barb and Leroy Nadeau, Phyllis and Pasquale Ferrera, the late Marion Donahue. Also survived by many nieces and nephews from across the U.S.A. Fondly remembered by his loving cousins Liberata Ferrera, Frank Tote, Angela DiScanno, Pete Tote, Teresa Caschera and families, Simone and the late Peter Benacquista and family. Predeceased by uncle and aunt Mario and Giovanna Tote. The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday June 27, 2007 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 756 Maxwell St. Sarnia at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME 1576 London Line, Sarnia on Tuesday afternoon from 3:30 to 5:00 and in the evening from 7:00 to 9:00. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 8:30. Interment to follow in Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
