BROUWER, Cornelia (nee VanWijk) - has gone to be with her Lord. Corrie passed away suddenly at Victoria Hospital in London on July 3, 2007. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Sidney in 1995. Left to cherish her memory are her children, William and Ria Brouwer of Wallaceburg and Wilhelmina and Harry Top of Watford. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Jenny and Jason Darisi, Chris Top, Katherine Top and Sarah and Marc Backx. Corrie was born June 4, 1925 in Holland. She came to Canada with her new husband Sidney in 1949. They raised their two children and farmed near Forest until they retired. She leaves behind two sisters, Leny Hendriks of Tasmania and Tini DeJong of Holland, brothers and sisters in law, William and Frieda Brouwer, Elisabeth Karelsen, Henriette Brouwer, Tony and Frances Brouwer and John and Trudy Brouwer. She will be especially missed by her many nieces and nephews and her friends at Pontiac Court. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2007 at 1:00 pm at Living Hope Christian Reformed Church, 1281 Exmouth St., Sarnia. Interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Family and friends will be received at the SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia on Thursday afternoon from 2 to 4 pm and evening from 7 to 9 pm.
