VILLAMERE, Gerald “Jerry“ - of Sarnia, passed away at his home, with his family at his side, after a courageous 9 year battle with cancer, on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at the age of 64 years. Beloved husband of Bernadette “Bernie“ (Evans) Villamere. Jerry was born in Renfrew and moved to Simcoe where they became Highschool sweethearts and were married for 43 years. Dear father of Ann Villamere of Toronto and Cheryl and Chris Wood of Port Dover. Loving Papa of Krystal (Krissy), Samantha, Joseph and Jeremy. Survived by his brothers Keith (Gwen) Villamere, Doug Villamere, Jim ( the late Marie) Villamere and sisters Jean (Pat) Blythe, Cathy Villamere and Karen Villamere. Brother-in-law of Hugh (Helen) Evans, Pat (Donald) Lee and Helen Evans. Predeceased by his parents Leo (2005) and Theresa (1983) and special sister-in-law Marie Villamere (2007). Jerry will be fondly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the STEWART FUNERAL HOME, 254 George Street, Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where Prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Benedict's Church, 1011 Oak Street on Monday at 1:00 p.m. with Father Matthew Bedard officiating. Followed by cremation with burial in Port Dover at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
