NICKELS, William Charles - At Bluewater Health-Norman Site on Friday, July 27th, 2007, WILLIAM CHARLES NICKELS, age 64, of Sarnia, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and in the arms of his wife Jo-ella (Pyette) Nickels. Bill also leaves behind his girls Elizabeth (Troy) Burchart, Cindy (Kevin) Kelch and his grandchildren whom he also adored, Kimberly and Amy Burchart, Andrew, Rachael and Justine Kelch. Also Survived by family, mother Bessie Nickels, Mark (Mary Lou) Nickels, Lynn (Ben) Scholten, Lori (Gary) Rawlings, Dixie (Bob) Girard, Dean Nickels, Dennis Nickels and half brother Todd Jacques, sister in-law Anne (Steve) Thompson, brothers in-law Gary Smith and Al Huard. Predeceased by father William Nickels, brother Fred, sisters Marie Smith and Debbie Huard, and special friend Art Grant. Bill also had an extended family that will miss him, Rochelle Pyette, Sally Newman, Kathie Mills, Ted (Evelyn) Pyette, Grace (Mark) Folan and two special girls who helped during his stay at home, Donna Morreau and Jo-Ella Maitland. Bill was retired from Imperiol Oil and enjoyed his summers at the campground, especially happy hours with wonderful friends. He also was a Toronto Maple Leaf fan which was quite obvious, when you entered his rec room. He was also a Miami dolphins football fan. Bill was a member of the Canadian Corp Branch 10 for 30 years and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 62. Anyone who knew Bill loved him, he was a good man and will be missed by many. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday August 1st, 2007, between the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Thursday August 2nd, 2007, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 62 (Front St., Sarnia, ON.) In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be expressed through the Canadian Cancer Society (714 Lite St., Pt. Edward, ON., N7V 1A6) or to Charity of Choice (cheques only please).
