BURKE, Helen (nee Tims) - 95 years, or Petrolia passed away peacefully after a long illness at Bluewater Health - C.E.E. Site, Petrolia on Thursday, August 9, 2007. Dear mother of Bonnie and Gordon Parsons of Petrolia, Herb and Carolyn Burke of Maitland, Bette and Marwood Ingram of Belle River, Patrick and Susan Burke of Apache Junction, AZ, Margaret and Ron Hutchinson of Mindemoya, and Mary Lachapelle of Sudbury, a sister, Jean Little of Sarnia, and the happy grandmother to 19 grandchildren and 17 1/2 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons Joseph Burke (1970), and Larry Burke (2002), a daughter Valerie McDonald (1993) and her parents, Hulda (Hully) and Herb Tims, a sister Doris Tims and brothers, Karl, Keith, Glenn and Sterling Tims. Helen graduated as a registered nurse in Cochrane and was a faithful nurse at C.E.E. Hospital, Petrolia for 38 years. Visitors will be received at the NEEDHAM-JAY FUNRAL HOME, Petrolia, on Saturday, August 11, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., when the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia.
