Carl Samuel HERBST

Carl Samuel Herbst, beloved husband of the former Ruth Ellis of Normanby Township, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre in Walkerton on Monday, August 27, 2007, in his 87th year. Dear father of John Herbst of Normanby Township, Linda Aberle and John of Mildmay and Michael Herbst and Sharon of Normanby Township. Also survived by seven grandchildren, Tammy Kieswetter and John, Tina Shepherd and Jason Brooker, Tracey Shepherd and Ron Seegmiller, Kim Aberle, Jordan Aberle, Karleigh Herbst and Mitchell Herbst; six great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Joshua, Paige, Peyton, Sydney and Daniel; two sisters, Sadie Brusso and Noah of Normanby Township and Marie Foerster and Milton of Hanover; sisters-in-law Anna Douglas and Stuart, Phyllis Glaze, Lorna Greenwood and Perry, Pearl Herbst and Helene Herbst, and brothers-in-law Bob Ellis and Betty and Joe Murawsky. Predeceased by two brothers, Allan and Fred Herbst, sister-in-law Betty Murawsky and brother-in-law Jack Ellis and Grace. Friends were received at the Garrett Funeral Chapel in Clifford until 12 noon on Thursday, August 30, 2007, then to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Clifford for funeral services at 2 pm. Interment St. James’ Lutheran Cemetery, Lauderbach. Reverend Mark Koehler officiated. The pallbearers were Michael Herbst, John Aberle, Jordan Aberle, Tammy Kieswetter, Tina Shepherd and Tracey Shepherd. The flower bearers were Kim Aberle, Karleigh Herbst, Mitchell Herbst and Paige Brooker.
