FREEDMAN, Maureen Nora (nee McFee) - Passed away peacefully and pain free, in her sleep at home, on Friday, September 21, 2007 in her 60th year. She was the cherished wife of Nelson Freedman. Beloved mother of Sean (Mary) Henry, Marc (Nancy) Freedman and Jordan (Micehlle Murphy) Freedman. Survived by brothers Bill, Tom (Deborah) and Gordon (Carol) McFee, grandchildren Jessica Weaver, Patrick Henry and Sam, Jacob, Elliott and Mackenzie Freedman, Evangeline and Beatrice Freedman and Otis Murphy, nephews Steven and Danny McFee, Matthew and Ryan McFee and niece Catherine McFee. She was predeceased by her mother Eileen, father Garnet and brother Alan McFee. Fondly remembered by her in laws, relatives and friends. Born June 24, 1948 in Montreal, Maureen graduated from Queen's University with a B.A. in Psychology and St. Lawrence College Dip. Behavioral Science Technology. Maureen had been a longtime employee of Queen's in several departments. She served as a volunteer director of Camp Outlook, Project Another Chance, and the 10+ Group of Joyceville and Millhaven Institutions. Friends will be received at the TOWNSHIP CHAPEL of the GORDON F. TOMPKINS, 435 Davis Drive (Taylor Kidd Blvd at Centennial Drive) on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Regional House, Amherstview, on Monday September 24, 2007 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. A family interment will take place in Montreal at a later date. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
