OAKE PEARL April 12, 1925 - September 13,2007.Passed away peacefully at home with children and grandchildren by her side. Born and raised in Leitches Creek, Cape Breton Nova Scotia, Pearl was the youngest of 8 daughters. Pre-deceased by her husband of 61 years Charlie in 2006 and survived by her four sons, Carl (Tana), Peterborough ON, Ken (Linda), Kelowna BC, Kevin (Tracey), Keith (Liana), both in Coquitlam, 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, twin sister Myrtle Tumolo (Boston, MA) and her wonderful caregiver and friend Jerty. A devoted mother, wife and sister, Pearl lived for her family and was happiest just having them in her presence to tend to. Until her health declined she remained in close contact with the many friends made throughout her life and fondly remembered the great times and friendships made through the Bridge Club in both Peterborough and Burnaby. She will be remembered for her gentle kindness and unwavering support and love for her entire family. We will miss her dearly. A memorial service will be held at the Burquitlam Furneral Home, 625 North Road, Coquitlam BC at 2pm, Monday September 17, 2007. 10836955
