JOLY, Eddy Rene - The family announces with sorrow the passing, on September 5, 2007, of a loving husband, father, father-in- law, son, brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law and Poppa at the young age of 57, after a heroic battle with cancer. Loving husband of Pauline (nee Benoit). Dear father and mentor to his 4 sons, Robert (Rhonda), Richard (Tracy), Christopher (Wanita) and Edward (Renee) all of Garson. His 8 grandchildren were his pride and joy, Taylor, Cooper, Joshua, Rebecca, Faithe, Hope, Destinee and Jordan. Loving son of Carmen Joly-Goulet (Noel) and Maurice Joly (predeceased). He is also survived and lovingly remembered by his brothers and sister, Richard of Hanmer, Ray (Renee) of Ashigami, Donald (Joanne) and his sister Lillian Bede (Mike) both of Garson. Son-in- law to Irene Benoit, and Jules Benoit (predeceased), brother-in-law to Michele (Jean-Paul), Terry (Dave), Paul (Jean predeceased) (Tim), Claire (Wayne), Susan (James) and Steve, and his special girl, his dog Pumpkin. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins as well as five step-sisters and a step-brother and their spouses. Eddy will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His sharp wit and prankster ways kept us laughing and guessing what would be next. He was a man of exceptional integrity and loyalty and deep caring for others. He will be missed by his poker buddies who played in Eddy's backyard garage on a weekly basis and by his trusted mechanic and friend Jeff Heasley. Thank you to all those who reached out to Eddy and his family throughout his illness. A special thanks to Wayne Sheppard, doctors, St. Martin, Cano, Want, Benedict and Hanna who guided him through some of his darkest days and who touched Eddy's life while he battled this disease. At Eddy's request, no flowers, please give donations to the Sudbury Food Bank.
