LAFOND, Leo A. “Poppy“ - In loving memory of Leo A. “Poppy“ Lafond, 57 years, who passed away Tuesday, September 11th, 2007 at his worksite. Leo was born in Virginiatown. Leo was a heavy equipment operator with OCL Construction Ltd. for the past 6 years. Leo was a hardworking man who had a passion for heavy equipment machines. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on antique cars in his garage. A man of faith, he walked in God's light with goodness and gentleness. He was well liked and respected by his many friends who enjoyed his great sense of humour. Leo was devoted to his loving family. Beloved father of Carmen DiPietro (Steve Gagnon) and Andre “Andy“ Lafond (Jenny Rae). Cherished Poppy of Drew and Marty DiPietro, Camren Gagnon, Chad Legault, Seth and Adyn Lafond, Kori and Kristina Fowler. Survived by his wife, mother of his children and best friend Reggie Lafond (husband Maurice Labelle). Dear son of Aurel and Aline (Morin) Lafond predeceased. Loving brother of Jean-Guy (Jackie), Marcel (Margaret) and Monique. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Saturday, September 15th, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. Interment in the St. John's Cemetery, Garson.
