PLANTE, Hélène (née Bédard) - The family announces with sorrow, her death in Sudbury, Monday, September 17th, 2007 at the age of 72 years. Daughter of the late Alexandre and of the late Aurore (née Roy) Bédard. Beloved wife of 50 years to Laurent Plante of St-Charles. Loving mother of Lise Plante-Parsons (John) of St-André Avelin, Qc, Madeleine Carrière (Raymond) of St- Charles, Pauline Plante-Tremblay (Paul Henri) of Rémigny, Qc, Monique Plante (Pierre Lepage) of Luskville, Qc, Marielle Pigeon (Denis) of Ottawa, Paul Plante (Rosemarie) and Jacques Plante both of Coleman, Alta., Ginette Plante (Rob Van Derlaag) of Calgary, Yves Plante (Lisa) of Maple, ON and Serge Plante (Chrissy Hassem) of Halifax, N.S. Dear sister of Odile Proulx (late Lucien), Roland Bédard (Pauline), Lucia Racette (late Jean-Guy), Aldé Bédard (Léonie) all of Sudbury and Omer Bédard (Gisèlle) of St-Charles. Predeceased by her sister Rollande Bois (Fernand of Sturgeon Falls). Sadly missed by her 18 grandchildren and her 12 great- grandchildren. Predeceased by one granddaughter. Lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters-in-law Cléo Plante (Simone), Jeannine Desrochers and Georgette Beauparlant (Gilles). Predeceased by her sister-in-law Eliane Turcot (late Arthur). Hélène was a member of the St-Charles Colombiettes and was formerly active in her parish council and community, having received the Community Volunteer Medal from the Governor General for her endless volunteer work. The family will receive friends at the St-Charles Community Centre, Friday from 2-5 and 7- 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 22nd, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in St-Charles de Borromée Church, St-Charles.
