VERSTRAETE, Andre M. - a resident of RR 3 Bothwell passed away Monday, September 10, 2007 at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, PG Campus, Chatham at the age of 73. He was born in Tilbury son of the late Maurice & Adrienne (Vanbesin) Verstraete. Andre farmed all of his life in Orford Twp. Beloved husband of Lena Verstraete; loving father of Peter & Carol Verstraete, Rose Haines & Kevin Silverthorne and Brenda & Phil Burke all of RR 3 Bothwell; cherished grandfather of Brandon Burke, Dustin Haines, Jordan Burke, Maurice Verstraete and Kelly Verstraete; dear brother of Rose & Joe Vereecken of RR 3 Bothwell, Zulma & Roger Deprez of RR 6 Dresden, Janette & Bill Korpan of RR 7 Chatham, Marie & Antoine Vereecken of RR 3 Bothwell and Dianne & Gilbert Feys of RR 5 Bothwell. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. The Verstraete family will receive family and friends at the BADDER & ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME 211 Elm St., Bothwell on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be held on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Andy Dwyer officiating. Interment in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Bothwell. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
