POWERS, Jessie Ethel (Ewing) - a resident of R.R.# 2 Chatham, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the C.K.H.A. Public General Campus, Chatham on Friday, September 7, 2007 at the age of 91. Born August 1, 1916, daughter of the Fergus & Ethel (Shaw) Ewing. Beloved wife of the late Norman Franklin Powers (2001). Loving mother of Wayne & Norma Hunter, Betty & Michael Leslie, and the late Larry Powers (1971). Cherished Grandmother of David & Nadene Hunter, Suzanne & Brent Curran, Julie Hunter, Janice Goldthorpe, Michael & Nicole Martin, Patricia & Rodney Hitchcock, Steven & Julie Martin, Sandra & Nathan McPherson, Jamie Leslie and Michelle Boudreau, Heather Craig & Michael Shannon, and Hollie Jules. Loving Great Grandmother of 20. Mother-in-law of Ann & David Cox. Predeceased by her brothers and sister Edward & Marion Ewing, Burton & Vera Ewing, Jean & Wilbur Martin, and Fergus & Helen Ewing.Fondly remembered by many nieces & nephews. Friends and Family will be recieved at the BADDER FUNERAL HOME & RECEPTION CENTRE, 679 North St., Dresden on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Linda Maw of Lindsay Road United Church officiating. Interment Dresden Cemetery. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to the Lindsay Road United Church or the charity of ones choice.
