SCOTT, Robert D. (Bob) - (WW II VETERAN) - Peacefully at Fairmount Home for the Aged, Glenburnie on Monday September 10, 2007. Bob Scott (formerly of North Bay) in his 84th year. Beloved Husband of the Late Doreen Knight. Dear Father of David (Bonnie) of Thunder Bay, Rodney of Brampton, Deborah (Blair) McDonald of Seeley's Bay, Dear Brother of Sheila Maki of Scarborough, Douglas Scott of Toronto. Predeceased by brother, Malcolm Scott. Fondly remembered by grandchildren, Jennifer, Jonathon, Evan and Ryan. Predeceased by grandson Jamie. At a young age he listed in the army as a member of the No. 15 Platoon Brantford, Ontario. After the war, Bob had a varied career working as a machinist in his own business, working as the senior millwright for Johns Manville and in the latter part of his career he worked as a safety advisor with the O.N.R.. Bob lived a very active life. Among his passions were baseball, hockey, bowling, curling, dancing, golf and spending time with family camping at Mikisew Provincial Park. He was known for his sense of humour and his organizational abilities and spent many years as the President of the Four Seasons Curling Club and a member of the local Masonic Lodge. He was a devoted husband and father, and admired friend to many. He will be dearly missed. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
