HILL, William - At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Monday, September 17, 2007, William “Bill“ Richard Hill, age 86, of Chatham, beloved husband of Ruth (Nagle) Hill. Born in Chatham in 1921, son of the late Rachel Poage and George Hill, Bill was with the Fire Department for over 34 years, served 4 1/2 years during World War II in the Army, was a member of Branch #628 Legion and a member of St. Joseph's Church. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by 2 sisters; Myrtle Sluzele, Mabel Skipper and a brother Lloyd Hill. Friends and relatives may call at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday September 19, 2007 where Parish Prayers will be offered 3:30 pm on Wednesday. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at 1:00 pm in St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Donations to St. Joseph's Church Restoration Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
