KITCHINGMAN, Arthur “Nick“ Gramps“ - Of St. David's at the age of 97. Passed away peacefully beside his doting wife Ruth. Gramps was always the life of the party, and was the proudest fan of all his grandkids. Nick is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Ruth (Doan), and beloved father of Margaret (Colin) Krueger, and his late daughter Gladys Barry. He will be greatly missed by son-in-law Leo “Butch“ Barry, grandchildren Maureen (late Don) Banks, Kevin (Carol) Brady, Colin “Smoke“ (Debbie) Krueger, Craig (Dawn Marie) Krueger, Andrea Krueger, and Shannon (Guy) Burberry. Great Grandpa to Courtney, Meghan, and Shelby Brady; Alex, Nicholas, Lucas and Zack Krueger. Nick was born in Leeds, England on October 20th, 1909 and came to Canada with his family in 1921, settling in the Niagara area. He was proudest of his grandkids, and loved to share in their latest accomplishments and celebrate their triumphs. He loved his “farm“, and was happiest out riding his lawn mower. When not on his mower, he could be found watching the cars go by. The grass on the front lawn of heaven just got a little bit shorter, and the parties a little bit livelier. The family will receive friends at the HAMMOND FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, September 5th at 2:00pm. Interment at St. David's United Church Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. 10810074
