VANIDOUR, Edna Joyce (nee Thurston) - Of Sparta passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 10, 2007. Beloved wife of William for 56 years and treasured mother of John and his wife Judy Vanidour of Fonthill, David Vanidour and his wife Dr. Georgina Hammock of Augusta, Georgia and Peter Vanidour and Pamm Donnelly of St. Thomas. Cherished and loving Nana of Ethan Vanidour and Terri Samson of Welland, Erin and her husband Justyn Hendriks of Hamilton, Trent Vanidour of Simcoe, Cole Donnelly of St. Thomas, infant granddaughter Marianna Joy Hammock-Vanidour of Augusta, Georgia and great granddaughter Autumn Samson of Welland. Dear sister of Eileen Herbert (William) of Brantford. Predeceased by a brother Ron Thurston and a sister Joan Veal both of England. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Edna was born in England on August 13, 1926, the daughter of the late George William and Flora (Blundell) Thurston. She was retired from Clarke Equipment. Edna was a member of Trinity Anglican Church, Aylmer. Resting at WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas. Visitation Thursday, September 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to be held at Trinity Anglican Church, Aylmer on Friday, September 14th at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow, with inurnment of ashes in Elmdale Cemetery.
