VACCA, Bernarda (Sorge) - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Monday September 17, 2007 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of 64 years to Rocco Vacca. Dearly loved mother of the late Arduino Vacca and his wife Maria, Angela Belli and her husband Peter, Natalino “Nick“ Vacca and his wife Francesca and Mirella Sorge and her husband Rodolfo. Loving grandmother of John (Tina) Belli, Rocco “Rocky“ (Maria) Vacca, Sonia (Jerry) Buccilli, Anthony Vacca, Luciano (Shelly) Sorge, Joe (Maria) Belli, Dino Sorge and Christina Sorge and great-grandmother of ten. Dear sister of Marietta Lombardi and Annetta Germani of Ceprano, Frosinone, Italy. Also surviving are ten brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law in Niagara Falls and Ceprano. Predeceased by her parents Arduino and Angela Sorge, her in-laws Arduino and Giacinta Vacca, her brother Luigi Sorge and sister Agnesa Sorge. Mrs. Vacca was born in Ceprano and immigrated to Canada in 1959. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Wednesday 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ann's Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The Vigil for Mrs. Vacca will be celebrated Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
