HAGAR, Walter Robert With heavy hearts, yet trusting in God's grace, we announce the death of our dearly loved Walter on Friday, August 31, 2007 at age 74. Husband of Joanne; father of Peter (Karen), Jennifer, Julie, Geoffrey, Stephanie, and the late Wally. Grandfather to Neil, Sarah, Brandon, Ashley, Vanessa, Paul (deceased) and great- grandfather of Jasmine. Brother of David (Margaret) and Roberta. Predeceased by brothers Robert, Eric, Lawrence, Arthur, and sisters Lillian and Shirley. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. His compassionate nature found expression in his caring for many elderly friends. He thoroughly enjoyed the warmth and endearing comraderie in the company of his beloved Blackburn Chorus, now Coro Vivo Ottawa. We extend our utmost appreciation to the deeply caring support provided by the entire Palliative Care Team. Our sincerest gratitude also to the Hospice at May Court whose staff and volunteers greatly eased Walter's passing into Life Eternal. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, on Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 715 Roosevelt Avenue, on Monday, at 11 a.m., Pastor Marek Sabol officiating. Interment at Beechwood Cemetery on Tuesday, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, for those wishing, donations to the charity of your choice or to the Hospice at May Court would be appreciated.
