Marie Ange DESJARDINS

SOUTAR, Marie-Ange (nee Desjardins) August 6th, 1910 - September 4th, 2007 Shortly after a time of prayer with Rev. Jim Baldwin our "little Marie" died peacefully surrounded by the love of her "friends like family" and was reunited with "her Bob" in their heavenly home on Tuesday, September 4th at The Queensway-Carleton Hospital at 11:50 p.m. Visitation will be held at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue (corner of Byron Avenue) on Friday, September 14th from 12:30 p.m. until time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Reception to follow. A private interment will be held at a later date. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Riverpark Place, where Marie so enjoyed her home for the past two years. A special thanks to Dr. Eric Elkin, with his compassionate smile, her physician of 33 years. Our deepest thanks to the staff of C4 Medicine at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital for their sympathetic care over the last eight weeks of Marie's life. Thank you also to Les Artisanes de Saint-Francois, Club La Renaissance and The Seniors Tea of Britannia United Church. She so looked forward to meeting with all her friends in her varied groups of interest over the years. To all family, friends and neighbours who supported Marie, especially in the last years of her life, our deepest gratitude. If you so desire, in memoriam donations to the Queensway-Carleton Hospital Foundation would be gratefully appreciated. As Marie would say as she greeted each day "I'm not blase yet".
