McCLURE Irene Mary (nee Ellis) Died peacefully at Glenwarren Lodge, Victoria, on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 aged 91. Irene was born on June 27, 1916 in Wilkie, Saskatchewan and had lived in Victoria since the early 1920's. Predeceased by her husband, Gordon, in 1987, she is survived by her loving daughter, Maxine E. Bowen (Mike) of Kingston, Ontario; granddaughter, C. Ruth LeBlanc (Eric) also of Kingston; grandson, Christopher Bowen (Trish) of Naples, Italy; cherished great-grandchildren, Heather and Alyssa LeBlanc and Alex, Matthew and Sean Bowen. Also survived by her nephew, Hugh Jervis-Read of Victoria and brother-in-law, Don McClure of Ottawa; nephew, David McClure; nieces, Joan Ronsyn (Ed), Barbara Stanton (Gerry), Carol Woltman (Ray), Christina Belanger (Paul) and their families, all of Ontario. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Emmaus Chapel of the Church of St. John the Divine, 1611 Quadra Street, Victoria. A Reception will follow in the Parish House Lounge.
