DOUGLAS, Shirley Kathleen (nee Blakeman) Peacefully on Wednesday September 12, 2007 in her seventy-eighth year. Beloved wife of the late Hugh Charles Douglas. Daughter of the late Laura Beatrice (nee Spurr) and the late Gordon Mills Blakeman. Loving mother of Ellen Douglas (Paul Stones) of Toronto, and Jane Farquharson (Brant) and Gordon Douglas (Margaret) of Ottawa. Cherished grandmother of Ian Stones, Blake, Eric and Reid Farquharson, and Laura, Adam and Andrea Douglas. Dear sister of Mary Neal (Stan) and Katharyn Maulson (Frank) of Aurora, Ontario. A celebration of Shirley's life will be held at St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church, 125 MacKay Street, Ottawa at 11:00 a.m. on Monday September 17, 2007 with a reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Kidney Foundation of Canada or to the charity of your choice.
