FITZGERALD, Joan (Hall). Born on April 16, 1922 in Wimbleton, England. Passed away peacefully on September 5, 2007 in Maple Ridge, B.C. at the age of eighty-five. Beloved wife of Edward, mother and mother-in-law of Douglas (Wendy), Desmond (Michelle), Anne (Joe) and Donald (Cindy). Loving Nanny of Ryan, Selena, Corey, Sean, Lee, Melanie, John, Sarah and Jamie. Will be sadly missed by sisters-in-law Margaret Sutcliffe, Molly Ott, Louise (Charlie Beddoe), Joan (Louis Trepanier) and Shelagh (Art Long) and their families. Memorial service will be held in Quebec City on October 1, 2007 at 1 p.m. at St. Michael Anglican Church, 1800 Chemin Saint-Louis. The family will be at the church from 12 p.m. to receive relatives and friends. Interment of ashes following the service at the Mount Hermon Protestant Cemetery. Reverand Mia Anderson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joan's name to the McKenney Creek Hospice, 100-11762 Laity Street, Maple Ridge, B.C. V2X 5A3.
