Laurie Ambrose COLES

COLES, LAURIE A.- After a life well lived , in Summerside, on Tuesday, September 4, 2007, of Laurie Ambrose Coles, in his 80th year. Born in Winsloe, January 24, 1928, he was the son of the late Ambrose and Agnes (Birch) Coles. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Sarah "Sally" Schurman and his children, Richard (Margaret Anne), Howard (Sheri), Paula (Douglas MacDonald), Cindy (Bill Walker), Douglas, Shelley and Alex (Vanessa). He was the proud Poppa of 14 grandchildren. He was a brother to Ralph (Shirley), Shirley (Mac MacDougall), Pauline, Tony (Virginia) and Don (Margaret). He was predeceased by his sisters, Norma and Jean. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Anglican Church, Summer Street, Summerside, on Friday, September 7, 2007, at 10:30 A.M. Following the service, the family welcomes extended family and friends to join them for a reception at St. Mary's Hall. Flowers gratefully declined. For those who so desire, charitable donations may be made to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of P.E.I A private family committal service will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley.
