Zélia Arsenault 1922-2007 Zélia Arsenault, wife of the late Gérald J. "Gerry" Arsenault of the Villa Providence, Shediac, and formerly of High Street, Moncton passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Hector J. Cormier and the late Élise Breau. Zélia was past president of the Beauséjour Curling Club, the Pine Needles and Lakeside Ladies Golf Clubs, past secretary of the Beaver Ladies Curling Club, an avid golfer and curler. She worked as a dental receptionist prior to her retirement. She will be greatly missed by her four daughters, Lydia Arsenault of Moncton, Simone Arsenault and Carmen Marshall (Stephen) all of Riverview, Yolande Arsenault of Ottawa; one son, Vincent (Danielle) of Moncton; three sisters, Hélène Comeau of Weymouth, N.S., Sr. Lorraine Cormier, n.d.s.c. and Sr. Rose-Aimée Cormier, n.d.s.c. both of Moncton; two brothers, Father Noël Cormier, Eudiste of Québec, QC., and Laurie Cormier of Dieppe; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Gérald J. "Gerry" (2004), three sisters, Dorice LeBlanc, Marie Drisdelle, and Sr. Lydia Cormier, n.d.s.c.; and six brothers, infant Yvon, Éric, Edmond, Émile, Aurèle, and Father Clarence Cormier. At the Family's request, there will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be held at Saint-Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac on Friday, August 7, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297).
