Winston "Win" Douglas Embree Embree, Winston "Win" Douglas, 62, Truro passed away September 6, 2007 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax Infirmary Site, Halifax. Born in Springhill on July 24, 1945, he was a son of Phyllis (McNulty) Embree and the late Douglas Embree, Truro. He was employed in the food services industry ending his career with Hub Meat Packers, Moncton, NB. He returned to Truro in the fall of 2004. He was always a wonderful friend and supporter with his energetic personality. "Win" was a doer and planner, enthusiastic and friendly, loved sports and wood working. He is survived by sister, Carol (Elmer) Patton; niece, Allison (Derrick) Corbett; nephews, Chris and Scott Patton; companion and great-friend, Erma Conrad; grandchildren, Rachel and Bradley; several aunts and uncles. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm; funeral service on Monday at 2:00 pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street with Rev. Gordon MacLean officiating. Interment in Bible Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Colchester Regional Hospital Foundation or a charity of choice.
