Lévi Bastarache 1937 - 2007 Lévi Bastarache, age 70, husband of Irma (Née LeBlanc) Bastarache of Saint-Antoine, passed away on Monday September 10, 2007 at the Moncton City Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Born August 24th, 1937 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Dennis and the late Elise (Née Bastarache) Bastarache. He worked for Moncton Crush Stone and the Moncton Airport; he will be remembered for his volunteer work playing bingo with the elderly. Levi loved fishing, hunting and playing cards. He attended Saint-Antoine l'Ermite Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Antoine. Besides his wife Irma, he is survived by his children, Rose (Paul), Betty, Ann, Francis, Steven and Louise; four grand children, Jason, Rachelle, Niki, and Shawn; one great grand daughter, Jada; five brothers, Sam (Félexine), Willie (Pauline), Alec (Bernadette), Ronnie (Theresa) and Dennis all of Moncton; five sisters, Claudette, Lynn (Larry) both of Waltham, Mass., Annette of Oshawa, ON, Irene (Aldé), Marie; and a half sister, Lorette all of Moncton; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Levi was predeceased by one infant brother, Eddie; and one grand son, Joey (2004). Visitation will be held at the Saint-Antoine de l'Ermite Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Saint-Antoine on Tuesday September 11th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am at the Saint-Antoine l'Ermite Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Antoine. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
