Sharon Patricia MacDonald Sharon Patricia MacDonald - 65, Summerville, N.S. - Moncton, N.B. passed away suddenly, Thursday, September 13, 2007 in QE II, Halifax. Born in Amherst, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Alice (Steeves) Ashton. She was employed in the hospitality industry for many years. She was an avid gardener. She enjoyed playing golf and curling. She will be sorely missed by her Dalmatian, Buddy and Black Lab, Sally. She is survived by husband, John, of 21 years, daughter ,Cathy (Tim) McEachern; son, Shane Geldart., grandchildren, Mathew and Christina, brother, Gerald (Mary) Ashton, Moncton, ,sisters, Diana (Donald) Jones, Sussex, Geraldine DeMedeiros, Toronto, Dawne (Randy) McCullum, Caledonia Mountain; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Shirley Weir. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Sharon's life will be held at a later date.
