Elmer Laurits JENSEN

JENSEN, ELMER - At Victoria Glen Manor, Perth-Andover, September 19, 2007, Mr. Elmer Laurits Jensen, 85, of New Denmark passed away peacefully. He was the husband of Ruth Jensen. Born at New Denmark in 1921, he was the son of the late Paul and Matilda Jensen. He is survived by his wife, four children: Judy (Phillip) Rossignol of Oshawa, Ontario, Harlen (Rhonda) Jensen of Oromocto, Sonja (Michel) Deschênes of Grand Falls and Paul (Teri) Jensen of Saint John; grandchildren: Denise (Joe) Colacicco, Adrian (Angela) Rossignol, Erica (Mark) Wilson, Joseph (Karen) Jensen and Kent Jensen; great grandchildren: Natalie, Elizabeth, Jamie, Leanne, Samantha, Katherine and Dylan, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, infant brother Edwin, sisters, Hedvig (Knud) Nielsen and Esther (Borden) Reid, niece, Ella (Alan) Sorensen. Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls, with visiting hours Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home and Monday from 1-2 p.m. at the church. His funeral will be held Monday, September 24th at 2 p.m. from the Bethany Lutheran Church, New Denmark, with Pastor David Knudson officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
