Alma E. Tower Alma Evelyn Tower, of Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of St. George Blvd, Moncton, passed away at her residence on Thursday September 20, 2007 after a lengthy illness. Born in Minto, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Ellen (Haley) McBurnie. She was a retired Hair Dresser from the Cozy Beauty Bar in Moncton, Member of St. James Anglican Church, Moncton and attended St. Augustine's Anglican Church in Quispamsis. Member of the Huntington's Society of Canada and the Pearl Rebekah Lodge # 9, Moncton. Alma will be sadly missed by her daughter, Donna Marie Flewelling (Wendell), Hampton, NB; son, Garry Tower (Donna), Moncton; grand children, Kimberley Leger (Ray), Sheri Roux (Stephen), Todd Tower (April); great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Marc, Benjamin, Sarah, Shawna and Liam; sister, Florence Hargrove, Moncton; brother-in-law, Claude Beatty; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Hartley Beatty in 1944, second husband, Cecil Tower in 1980; sister, Eleanor; brothers, Albert, Leonard, Donald, Darrell and Murray. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Sunday September 23, 2-5. Funeral service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, September 24, 2007, 11:00 am with Rev. Rufus Onyewuchi officiating. Reception following the service. Interment at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Moncton. In Alma's memory donations to St. James Anglican Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
