STEWART, June Julia (nee Brooks) – peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 26, 2007, in her 89th year, with her family at her side. Loving wife of Max Stewart for 66 years. Dear mother of Robert Stewart and his wife Kienie of Toronto and Pat Stewart of Peterborough. Devoted grandmother of Lori (Ron) Visser, Kara Stewart, Mark (Christy) Stewart, Cher (Richard) Anjema, Matthew, Joel, and Neil Stewart, and missed by 14 great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Julia and William Brooks. Sister of Myrtle Bennewith, Albert (Bernice) Brooks, and the late Clayton Brooks, Evelyn (Horace) Fisher, Dorothy (Walter) Baldry, and Miles (Marie) Brooks. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the HIGHLAND PARK VISITATION/RECEPTION CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Rd. (at River Rd. S.) on Tuesday, Aug. 28, from 1-2 p.m., with a funeral service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Malcolm Young. Interment Highland Park Cemetery.
