HICKS, Orville - 1929-2007 - The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Golden Manor on Monday, June 25, 2007 at the age of 78 years. Predeceased by his wife Madeleine (nee Laham) in 1953. Loving father of George Hicks (wife Pauline) of Timmins, Patricia Hicks (Lawrence) of London, John Hicks of South Porcupine, Patrick Hicks of Schumacher, Michael Hicks of South Porcupine and Jennifer Hicks (Steve Woon) of Timmins. Dear grandfather of Trent, Kurtis, Joshua, Owen and Rebecca. Brother of Joyce Lamarche (husband Phil) of London, Doreen Geofreda (husband Mike) of Kitchener, Val Armstrong (husband Pete) of Kitchenter, Rebecca MacIntosh of Kitchener, Greg Hicks (wife Donna) of Kitchener, Barry Hicks (wife Judy) of Kitchener, Barbara Harrington (husband Jim) of Kitchener and Jennifer Webb (husband Ron) of Bracebridge. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Edgar & Celia Hicks. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Smith and the nursing staff of East 1 at the Golden Manor. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 29, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. from the Miron Wilson Chapel (Fr. Pat Lafleur officiating). Remembrance donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
