Marjorie Ethel CAVENEY

MCKANE, Marjorie Ethel (née Caveney) January 9, 1920 – July 11, 2007. The family announces with great sorrow her peaceful death at the Timmins and District Hospital on Wednesday July 11, 2007 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by her husband John “Paddy” McKane in 1982. Loving mother of Terry (Rhea) McKane and Brian McKane. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Sean McKane of Timmins, Christine (Andre Thiboutot) of Timmins, Colleen McKane of Ottawa and Cindy McKane of Timmins and her great-grandchildren Brody & Jordan Thiboutot and Takaya McKane-Michaud all of Timmins. She is survived by her sisters Doris Storms of Timmins and Irene (Chuck Hudson) of Nipigon, ON. She was also predeceased by her parents John and Ethel Caveney, her brothers John and Albert Caveney, her sister Bessie (Doug Orr) and her brother in-law Sam Storms. Marjorie was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 88, Timmins and worked as a cashier at A&P Store until her retirement 22 years ago. The family sends a special thank you and expresses their gratitude to Dr. Kvas – Medical Floor of the Timmins and District Hospital, the Red Cross as well as Bayshore Home Health. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday July 14, 2007 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Remembrance donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated.
