GETTY, Wm. Frank 88 years, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at the Leamington Nursing Home. Formerly of Wheatley. Beloved husband of Grace (Tilson/Atkinson) Getty and the late Hazel (Jackson)(1971). Dear father of Gayle (Tom) Hyatt, Joan (Dave) Gale, William (Noemia) Getty, Christopher (Wendy) Getty, Linda (Roy) Armstrong, David (Marian) Atkinson, Gary (Pam) Atkinson. Loving grandfather of Kelly (Blake), Bonnie (Terry), David, Shana (Rod), Richard, Dawn, Shawn, Dayna, Laura, Gerrit, Emily, Kyle and cherished great grandfather of Kale, Lauren, Connor, Inez, Mitchell and Keiera. Dear brother of Ruth St. John and late husband Leonard, the late Darrell Getty and late wife Violet, the late Ray Getty and wife Barb. Frank was a member of Wheatley United Church, Wheatley Friendship Club, Wheatley Lawn Bowling Club, Xenophon Masonic Lodge #448 Wheatley, Life Member of Talbot Trail Golf Club, Charter Member and Past President of Wheatley Kinsmen Club, Past President of Wheatley Lions Club, Wheatley Fire Chief for 20 years with 32 years on the force, Past President of Kent County Fire Chiefs Assoc., Past President of Essex County Fire Chiefs Assoc., Past President of Lake Erie Fisherman Assoc. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street, Leamington on Sunday 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service to celebrate Frank's life will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, September 10, 2007 at 11 a.m. Rev. Jack Lovering and Rev. Jack Glover officiating. Interment of cremated remains at Fairview Cemetery, Wheatley.
