Mary HOOPER

HOOPER, Mary 94 years, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on August 19, 2007. Beloved wife of the late Carl Hooper (1973). Loving mother of Edward and wife Barbara, Gary, and Carol. Dear Gram of 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Mary will be fondly remembered by sister-in-law Ruth Hooper, brother-in-law Jim Hooper, nieces, nephews and her special companions Cuddles and Peanut. Mary enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the Casino, 10 Pin Bowling which she played up to the age of 90 years and was also an avid Toronto Blue Jay Fan. The family would like to express a special thanks to CCAC, Com Care, Dr. Julie Bilibajkich and Emma Cookson. Visitation will be held at Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (519-735-2830) on Tuesday from 2-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers will be held at 7:15 p.m. Visitation will continue at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church 834 Raymo Road, Windsor on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Dino Salvador will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindness memorial donations to the Windsor-Essex County Humane Society or to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Mary Hooper in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on September 30, 2007. All are welcome.
