LEVINE, Leah Passed away Monday September 3, 2007. Predeceased by husband Max (1988) and daughter Deborah Altman (2007). Survived by her son Benjamin and son-in-law Jules Altman, grand-children Suzanne (Stuart) Gildenberg, David (Jolie) Altman, Karen Gould and Jason and Jonathan Levine. Also survived by great grand-children Melissa, Michell, Brenna, Aidan, Sawyer, Carter, Hannah and Benjamin. A long time Windsor resident and a daughter of Rabbi Israel Shulman, for much of her life Leah was a Hebrew school teacher to many Windsor Jewish children. Leah was a member of Congregation Shaar Hashomayim and a life member of the Shaar Hashomayim Sisterhood and Hadassah-WIZO of Windsor. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 5 at 3:00 PM at the Rachel Kaplan Hebrew Memorial Chapel, 675 Aylmer Avenue. Rabbi Alon Tolwyn will officiate. Interment immediately follows at the Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 2618 Pillette Road. Following interment a Shiva service will be held at the Peretz House minion, 1653 Ouellette Avenue at 6:30 PM. Shiva will then continue at the home of Benjamin Levine, 10 Karl Court, Thornhill. In lieu of flowers and to honour your memory of Leah, the family suggests that contributions be made to Hillel Day School, the Jewish National Fund or to the charity of your choice.
