PORFILIO, Donatantonio "Tony" 93 years. It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of a loving Husband, Father, Nonno and Bis-Nonno, on August 18, 2007 at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus. Beloved husband for 68 years to Gina (nee Iarusso). Loving and caring father to Florinda Meret and husband Franco, Bill Porfilio and wife Maria, Frank and wife Diana; all of Windsor. Cherished Nonno to Stephanie Donato and husband Joe, Jennifer Ferrelli and husband Emidio; Laura Guglietta and husband Maurizio, Daniel and Lisa Porfilio. Dear Bis-Nonno to Josie Marie and Gianfranco Donato, Ava and Lea Ferrelli. Predeceased by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Dear brother in-law to Iolanda Masciotra and late husband John (1983). Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, U.S.A. and Italy. Tony was the owner of the former Vince and Tony's Auto Wash and Gas Station, and an employee of Chrysler Canada. He was a member of the Giovanni Caboto Club, Holy Name Society and Ushers Club at St. Angela Merici Church, CAW Local 444 and a Veteran of WWII. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Tuesday August 21, 2007 from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Prayers Tuesday 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at 10:15 a.m. from the Windsor Chapel then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
